Mid-Life Crisis Ended...

Mom announced couple of months back... she's changing her last name back. It had been 'Dinsmore'... She had it for 46 years and wanted it back.... and is her sons' name too.
So she went thru 6 or 8 or 10 visits to agencies and offices and paperwork and delays and re-dos and phone calls and run-around and dilemmas...

Perseverance won out... and yesterday she got phone call from the courts... Approved!!

How cool is that...! To have a goal at age 91... and follow thru and get it done!

How about you? What's holding u back from going for it? Starting something new... the lifelong dream for better life... Waiting for age 51 or 71 or 91?

What 2 things happened? Starting, and follow-through... getting past obstacles. Adopting want-it and no-excuses attitudes.

Free BlackBerries and Business...

Free Blackberries ?? Gee whiz... and here I can barely operate a regular cellphone...
Really... what I'm talking about is easy-picking blackberries... just down the street in vacant lots and behind the playground too... Good and juicy and on my cereal every morning the past 3-weeks... Maybe further north it's blueberries too... but for now I'll pick 'em cause they're good and they are free...
The other morning... here I am pickin 'em putting them in a ziploc bag... This neighbor passes by on his walk... asks what I'm doing... and then says 'What about the chiggers'?
Me...? Didn't say much... just smiled inside and marveled at how people are different. I'm having large time re-living childhood memories like pickin' blackberries behind Joe's house. Didn't spoil my joy...
**************************************************
Same with business and customers... People are either looking right now or not... not ready for your program or opportunity... or blackberries...
Afraid of the 'hazards'... chiggers, mosquitos, snakes, work, bees, meteorites, thorns...or maybe 'don't believe' they''ll be that good, juicy and delicious... Don't have time, don't know how, rather get'em at the supermarket...
That's ok... I've learned, and accept, that it's not for everybody...
And also have learned by experience to bring protective gear and keep a good eye out at all times. Same in business... be prepared.
Just so u know... good free blackberries. They are here...
Good business... it's here too...
How about you? Which are you looking for?
Come on down..! Welcome..!
Be prepared for obstacles, challenges... And expect great results...
Easy pickin's... if that's what u want...
Cheers and smiles and yum...

Life is about choices... Give up certain things...

Give up certain things... fast foods you used to crave when you were a kid...
Give up what most people say... about making money on the internet...

Roger Mason at
www.YoungAgain.org says... in part...
"If you would like to change the way you eat, you don't have to "go on a diet". You do have to make better food choices. Please read my Zen Macrobiotics for Americans to learn how you can eat all you want, stay slim, keep low blood fats all by simply making better food choices. You can't do this by willpower, as willpower is an illusion. You can do it by reading good books on healthful delicious eating. Dean Ornish, Terri Shintani, Susan Powter, Nathan Pritikin, Gary Null, Michio Kushi, and Neal Barnard {the thin chefs on FoodNetwork} all write good books on how to enjoy good food without a lot of fat. Go to the library and get one of their books, and start making small changes every week in the way you eat. Brown rice tastes better than white rice or potatoes. Whole wheat pasta tastes better than white pasta. Whole grain bread tastes better than Wonder Bread®. Fresh lightly stir fried vegetables taste better than canned or boiled vegetables. Fresh fruits have a flavor sugared desserts can't match. Seafood is a delight instead of red meat. Olive oil will replace butter in most applications. You get the idea. "

***************************************************************
I say... you shouldn't eat things you don’t like... but
Learn to like the foods you should..! and vice-versa..!

Think about it... Eat bad and you are doctors' and big pharma's best friend... Eat right and have new friends... live to see great-grandchildren...

You know... change your thinking... change your results...

Home business? -- listen only to those who do it well...
not those who advise against, having known of failures...

Follow your intuition your dreams and a good leader... follow then become the leader...
That's the way it works... you are born, you are led, you lead...

First part is done... next 2 are up to you... (..give up status quo ! )

"I just can't start a business because..." (and reasons to get on with it)

I can't start a business because....

1) I'm too busy right now and don't have enough time (...never have enough time until you choose to take time... less time on negative and non-productive... choose well...)

2) I don't know what to do next. (like your current job on day-1 ; show up, learn, do something, even if it's wrong ; next day repeat... you will have mentor to help you.)

3) I don't have a college degree in marketing and I'm not Donald Trump, who is going to listen to what I have to say? (50% of millionaire entrepreneurs never finished college... you're fired.)

4) I already did one of those... didn't work. Been there there done that. (stay in the dugout, strikeouts happen, don't even try again).

5) I'm too old. I missed the boat when I had my chance xx years ago and didn't take it. (...being as old as u are is good thing ; plan to be even older and wiser...)

6) I have these bills and payments this month. Will start soon as I catch up. (reason to not start, matches your reason to start. Hello... be creative... if u had the money, where would u get it from).

7) The only winners here are the winners that started the company. (get real... same exact comp plan for everybody... 100pct profit... no bonus for showing up first.)

8) I already have a successful business doing something that I love and would continue do even if I was richest man in the world. (cool..! keep on keepin on. Michael Jordan had great job, but it came to an end. He had sideline of selling shoes and hanes undies... The rich have a planB).

I'm sure there are other reasons to NOT get started building your dreams today. If you have any that are holding you back, please feel free to call or write... and add them to our list. 866-675-6885 or 803-675-0005 -- leave message.

Importance of Visualizing

"The exercise of visualizing... keeps your mind in order, and attracts to you the things you need to make life more enjoyable in an orderly way. If you train yourself in the practice of deliberately picturing your desire and carefully examining your picture, you will soon find that your thoughts and desires proceed in a more orderly procession than ever before. Having reached a state of ordered mentality, you are no longer in a constant state of mental hurry. Hurry is Fear, and consequently destructive. In other words, when your understanding grasps the power to visualize your heart's desire and hold it with your will, it attracts to you all things requisite to the fulfillment of that picture by the harmonious vibrations of the law of attraction. You realize that since Order is Heaven's first law, and visualization places things in their natural order, then it must be a heavenly thing to visualize. Everyone visualizes, whether he knows it or not. Visualizing is the great secret of success. The conscious use of this great power attracts to you multiplied resources, intensifies your wisdom, and enables you to make use of advantages which you formerly failed to recognize." ...from Your Invisible Power by Genevieve Behrend

'Secret' & 'Optimist Creed'

"In honor of one of the past greats to whom I owe so much, we have created a gift for you. It is The Optimist's Creed, written by Christian D. Larson almost 100 years ago. As you read this wonderful piece of writing you will discover its total harmony with the teachings of The Secret. The words have been modified slightly to make them even more powerful. Be sure to read the words "I Promise Myself" at the beginning of every new line and you will maximize all the power of The Secret." by RhondaByrne
Optimist Creed - Christian D Larsen - written 1911
Promise Yourself-
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble." by Christian D Larson

"I Promise Myself-- To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side, so long as I am true to the best that is in me..." by TheSecret

Attaboy to Cruise Industry... Priceless!

Thanks again to the nice considerate people everywhere...

Never got to shake the hand again who did this for us...

We were leaning on the rail watching the pilot boat...come up next to the cruise ship. The harbor pilot has finished his task... guiding us out of Fort-de-France harbor, Martinique...wow what an awesome time... the island of flowers....

Anyway he steps from the ship down onto pilot boat ...and then comes back up with couple of bags, mail I figure, hands them to cruise personnel, then casts off...

Think I'll shoot a little more video of leaving the island... Where's camcorder?... not in my cabin...!? Bingo..! Bet those bags were mine... Left them on back seat of cab... Fumbling for $$ to pay cabbie... Jump out, board the ship... Cabbie found the camcorder... returned to dock, ship had left... So he took them to pilotboat station... and the rest is history...

Returning $800 camcorder and a $10 souvenir ballcap...The cabbie had to make a choice... I'm grateful to him...

I'm very happy and have a great feeling about honesty and integrity of that man and the industry...

They want us to have a happy experience, so we'll come again...
************************************************
Bet you have a cool story too... about gratitude... priceless...

"DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE ....

".....DECIDE WHAT YOU ARE TO BE.... BE WHAT YOU FEEL THAT YOU WANT TO BE.
Do not be misled by a false notion of obligation or duty. You can owe no possible obligation or duty to others that should prevent you from making the most of yourself. Be true to yourself, and you cannot then be false to any man. When you have fully decided what thing you want to be, form the highest conception of that thing that you are capable of imagining, and make that conception a thought-form. Hold that thought-form as a fact, as the real truth about yourself, and believe in it."

"All Serious-ness Aside..."

by Dave Barry (recently posted - myspace.com)

"16 Things it took me over 50 yrs to learn"
  1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
  2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved and never will achieve its full potential, that word would be "meetings."
  3. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
  4. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.
  5. You should not confuse your career with your life.
  6. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
  7. Never lick a steak knife.
  8. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip.
  9. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time.
  10. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.
  11. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age eleven.
  12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average drivers.
  13. A person who is nice to you but rude to a waiter is not a nice person . (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)
  14. Your friends love you anyway.
  15. Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.
  16. Men are like fine wine. They start out as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

That's just luck...

"I came to understand that success and prosperity had almost nothing to do with opportunities, chance, luck—or even training, education, or skill. It had everything to do with consciousness, beliefs, and even subconscious programming that you aren’t aware of. ".... RandyGage

Be aware that your thoughts/thinking... good or bad, positive or negative, are all about programming your future results for more of the same... Match it with actions... What you see, is what u thought, is what you got....

"Relationships" - Transforming...

"You can completely transform any relationship,no matter what it's like right now. Every single relationship you have is a reflection of how you feel inside about you. You are a magnet attracting to you all things, via the signal you are emitting through your thoughts and feelings. Every relationship you have and every interaction with every person, is a reflection of your own thoughts and feelings in that very moment.
To transform every single relationship you have in your life:
Fall in love with YOU!(you must love yourself deeply).
Make lists of hundreds and hundreds of wonderful things about you. Keep adding to it every day.
Know that you are perfect.(do not think any negative thoughts about you).
Know that you are worthy and deserving of anything and everything you could possibly want in your life.
Focus on the wonderful things in every person. Look for only those things.
Do not blame or criticize anybody, ever.
Set an intention that you are going to see the best in everything and everyone.
Make your happiness the number one thing in your life.(Happiness is an inside job.)
Free yourself of the responsibility of trying to make other people happy(respect and love them enough to allow them to take care of their own happiness).
Get your attention off those things in others that don't make you feel good.
Appreciate and love yourself in every moment you can.
Do not expect others to behave in a way you want, so you will be happy. Release yourself forevermore and know that you alone control your happiness and it is a choice, no matter what anyone else is doing.
Love and respect yourself completely.
Know that you are PERFECT right now."

Money Is Attracted To People??

'Strange as it may sound to you, money is attracted to people who are strong and powerful, respectful of it, and open to receiving it. I want you to think about this - this is something I firmly believe and have said time and time again: Money behaves and responds just like a person - nurture it, treat it well, and it will grow and flourish; treat it carelessly or with disrespect, and it will dwindle away to nothing. Quite simply, if you respect money and give it the attention it needs, it will respect you back.
Conversely, the emotions of shame, fear and anger cloud your financial judgment, take away your power over money. When these emotions determine your spending patterns or force you to deny or defy the truth about your money, they not only wreak havoc on your finances, they actually repel money from you.'
-- from 'The Courage to Be Rich' by Suze Orman.

New Way To Calculate Worth...

a) Instead of focusing narrowly on the wealth reflected in your bank accounts, spend a brief amount of time allowing the feeling of gratitude. Like, how much do you already have? ... and let that fill you with delicious, positive energy. After all, what type of price tag could you put on your health? On your family? On the use of your limbs? What monetary compensation would be adequate to replace the loss of your sight or your ability to read and write? How fortunate are you that you do not have to pay for the most essential things in life - the oxygen, the sunlight and the fellowship of other human beings.
b) Does this represent a loss or a gain? Instead of feeling that with each check your net worth decreases, focus upon the fact that you might have already enjoyed the benefits of whatever you are now paying for. It represents investment so you'll be able to earn more real income as a result. Pause to reflect upon and be grateful for whatever benefits have or will come to you from your use of the product or service for which you are paying. How thankful were you today day for the electricity and gas and cable and phone and cellphone service. I mean...I'm not chopping wood...are you? Amazing what we have already.
c) Appreciation for the whole system:... Think about how fortunate you are to have been given the product or service prior to having to pay for it. Isn't it wonderful that this new opportunity or company or product exists, in the free world, so that you can so easily have and use the product or service. How fortunate you are to live in a society that has developed such a fabulous system that keeps money in constant circulation..... and allows us opportunity.....

Creating Prosperity In Your Life

1. Your outer manifestations always mirror what is going on inside you. 2. When you change your inner programming, the external results will change accordingly. 3. If you don't have something that you want, it is because you are not energetically (mind-body-soul) aligned with it. 4. If you have something in your life that you don't want, it is because right now you are in energetic alignment with it. 5. Whether you want something you do not have, or you have something that you do not want, when you learn to consciously shift your energy you will attract totally different results. 6. The laws of the universe are totally clear and absolutely consistent! 7. To change your attraction: 1st) Get clarity about what you want, 2nd) Align your energy with it, and 3rd) Commit to receiving it and it will be yours. 8. Simply knowing something on an intellectual level gives you very little power. When you take a truth and internalize it so that it becomes who-you-really-are on a cellular level, you will radiate that truth outward and your entire experience of life will be changed. 9. The fastest way to block your efforts to create the life you love is to get caught up in a negative energy spiral. Any action taken from a place of lack (fear, anxiety, poor self-esteem, separation/scarcity consciousness) will be motivated action (pushing fear/discomfort away) and will be counterproductive. 10. The fastest way to propel yourself towards the manifestation of your dreams is to: 1) learn the intricacies of the universal laws, 2) consciously line up your energy with what you want and 3) take action (positive, flowing, enthusiastic action) from a place of inspiration (pulling your good towards you) rather than motivation.

Friday Story -- "Look For God...."

( A good friend, BettyL ... shared this story with me.... )
"One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."
I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.
As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.
He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives."
He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books.
He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends. He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.
Monday morning came!... and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!” He just laughed and handed me half the books.
Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship.
Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak.
Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous. Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said. As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began ….
“Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends... “I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone, is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story….."
I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."
I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize its depth. Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life…..For better or for worse.
God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another, in some way. Look for God in others. Show your friends how much you care...."

( Look for your chance to be a friend. If you like, share this story with your friends. )

The Secret: Arguing Against...
While Oprah Winfrey expressed open-hearted appreciation of the content, other mainstream media outlets have been racing to express their condemnation and disdain. The New York Times led the charge on Sunday 2/25 http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/25/fashion/25attraction.html in which the author does his best to find a sordid and sleazy angle to cover.

Power of Responsibility

It's been said that the line between childhood and adulthood is crossed when we move from saying "It got lost" to "I lost it." Indeed, being accountable - and understanding and accepting the role our choices play in the things that happen - are crucial signs of emotional and moral maturity. That's why responsibility is one of the main pillars of good character.
Many people have been seduced by the Peter Pan philosophy of refusing to grow up and avoiding the burdens implied in being accountable. Yes, responsibility sometimes requires us to do things that are unpleasant or even frightening. It asks us to carry our own weight, prepare and set goals, and exercise the discipline to reach our aspirations.
But the benefits of accepting responsibility far outweigh the short-lived advantages of refusing to do so. No one makes his or her life better by avoiding responsibility. In fact, irresponsibility is a form of self-imposed servitude - to circumstances and to other people.
Responsibility is about our ability to respond to circumstances and to choose the attitudes, actions, and reactions that shape our lives. It is a concept of power that puts us in the driver's seat. The grand panorama of the potential of our lives can only be appreciated when we begin to be accountable and self-reliant.
Responsible people not only depend on themselves, but show others that they can be depended on. This breeds trust, and trust is a key that opens many doors.
If you want more control over your life and the pleasures, prerogatives, and power of freedom and independence, all you have to do is be responsible.

Valentine's Day Prayer...

by Rev George E. Meetz, DD(1910-2006) chaplain SC State Senate... on February 14, 1996:
"Beloved for Valentine's Day, hear the words of St. Paul to the Corinthians (II Cor. 13:1) -- 'But strive for the greater gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.'
'If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

...And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.'
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in all the sorry paths that the human race chooses for survival, help us to choose the 'excellent way.' Amen"

Thanks to Rev. Dr. Meetze for being friend and fun person and inspiration.... and serving SC Senate from 1953-2006.

Law(s) of Attraction -- Creative Energy

"Learn universal principles behind wealth and success including: How we are creating all the time - using our consciousness and our energy...
The subtle energy fields that determine what we'll attract...
How the 'Law of Attraction' is really more than one law...
The 'Law of Paradoxical Intent' (why we must understand this law if we want to become effective deliberate creators.) ... and ...

Why the Universe does not choose to support certain people... (It has to do with their energy, not their personalities.) ...
The single most important thing you can do today to switch your energy to achieve success."

Accept Only Positive Energy

"...You really do control the level you vibrate at. And when you vibrate at a high level—you attract the people, things and circumstances that vibrate at that level. It’s that simple and it works that way, all the time, with no exceptions. Work on your ability to read energy. Notice how you feel when you meet new people. Every time you enter a new room, restaurant, store, etc. —notice any changes in your body. Think back to the past when you have met people or discovered new places. Reflect how you felt about them. Did you pay attention to your first gut instinct or did you override it? Pay more attention to your intuitive sense of energy, and see where it takes you." ...RandyGage

Create positive energy... Smile at strangers.

Goals and Gratitude

"Be clear about what you want to achieve in life. Set goals, and take action. The goal itself is what you’re working towards and is not a to-do item. Set yourself up for success by planning and doing.
"When you take action on a step, congratulate yourself for moving closer to your goal! Feel the satisfaction you deserve to get from each step.
"Accept the here and now and decide what you really want and what you can do about it. Don’t make the mistake of brooding over what you don’t have.

" Look at where you are today and have gratitude for what you have and for the opportunity to keep going!"

Progressive Affirmation -- Good I Am...

"The Good that I am Seeking is Seeking Me.
To internalize this truth, repeat each stage numerous times daily until you feel at one with (no resistance to) the statement.
1) Wouldn't it be lovely to believe that the good that I am seeking is seeking me?
2) I am open to imagining that the good that I am seeking is seeking me.
3) I am beginning to have faith that the good that I am seeking is seeking me.
4) The Good that I am Seeking is Seeking Me."

Get Over the Four-Letter Word

Not J-a-w-s. It's F-e-a-r.
Fear of failure. Fear of success. Fear of not knowing how or what to do. Fear of not living up to the dreams. People are so scared of "what's behind the curtain" they end of living only a fraction of the life they could. They hold themselves back.
Now - how about you?...Do you think you are capable of achieving more? For most of us it's yes -- I want to be more.
It's th f-e-a-r word -- and mostly the fear is self-imposed.
By choice -- these limiting beliefs are holding you back from changing your life and circumstances for the better. I believe you can do more. When you believe it -- and stop focusing on fears and the past -- you can live the life of your loftiest plans. It's for you to choose it and act on it. All you need is the courage to believe and to focus on the end goals -- like as if you already have it.
I will not settle for my past results. How about you?
Say it and do it -- "My best life starts now."

Beyond Positive Thinking....

....was topic of two Larry King Live shows, recently featuring speakers from
internet movie: 'TheSecret.tv'. James Ray was one of the speakers.

"Positive thinking doesn't work - not in and of itself. That's why the 'Larry King' show was called 'Beyond Positive Thinking.'Because you've got to go beyond just the positive thoughts. You've got to create: the thoughts, feelings and actions. And going back to what you said, Elyse, around the whole package...they've all got to be there. Thoughts, feelings, actions - all have to be firing congruently. And, if they're not...there is something off, something awry there. If you look at any single person who is not getting what they deserve in life - or what they want - it's because one of those key components is missing. You've got to go three-for-three. When you do that, you can create anything."-- James A. Ray, in interview with Elyse Killoran

Being Perfect - Is Not The Point

Avoiding all wrong doing is a lofty goal. Working daily to be better is do-able for each of us. By working I mean thinking. Right thinking leads to right actions.
Remember the 'Seven Deadly Sins'? -- Pride, Covetousness, Lust, Anger, Gluttony, Envy and Sloth. Martin Conroy wrote about them: "Short of deadly covetousness, people have an understandable desire to possess some of the good things in life. Instead of sinful lust, there's love that makes the world go 'round. Without raging in anger, good people can still feel annoyance with bad behaviour and bad things. Without getting into gross gluttony, normal men and women can have a normal appetite for good food and drink. Short of envy, there's a very human yen to do as well as the next guy. And as for sloth (laziness), who isn't happy to learn an easier way to do things?"
Be aware of human nature. Make sure you are not 'off the deep end' on any of these -- avoid those who are. Practice right thinking and behaviour -- knowing that good results will come in due time. Build on the good or opposite side of those desires and have relationships that flourish and business that lasts.

This New Year Help Others To Get What They Want

"The more you help others .... the more you'll get what you really want."
--Zig Ziegler

So what do you really want? Make your resolutions. I will have these things and this success... and I will take the actions and invest the resources to make it happen.

"Just for Today: I will live through this day only.
Just forToday: I will be happy. I will not dwell on thoughts that depress me. If my mind fills with clouds, I will chase them away and fill it with sunshine.
Just for Today: I will accept what is. I will face reality. I will correct those things I can correct, and accept those I cannot.
Just for Today: I will improve my mind. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.
Just for Today: I will make a conscious effort to be agreeable. I will be kind and courteous to those who cross my path,
and I'll not speak ill of others. I will improve my appearance, speak softly, and not interrupt when someone else is talking.
Just for Today: I will refrain from improving anybody but myself.
Just for Today: I will do something positive to improve my health. I will eat healthfully. And not only that, I will get off the couch and take a brisk walk, even if it's only around the block.
Just for Today: I will gather the courage to do what is right and take responsibility for my own actions. "
(-- from recent 'Dear Abby' column)

Today - I am happy to be here and will make the best of this day.

Action Attracts Abundance

Andy Andrews is author of best selling book (historical novel): 'The Travelers's Gift'. Writing in first-person -- he includes seven decisions for personal success. #2 is 'Action':

"I am a person of action. I inspire others with my activity. I am a leader.
Leading is doing. To lead, I must move forward.

"Successful people make their decisions quickly and change their mind slowly. Failures make their decisions slowly and change their mind quickly. My decisions come quickly, and they lead to victory.

"I am a person of action. I am daring. I am courageous.

"Fear no longer has a place in my life. For too long, fear has outweighed my desire to make things better for my family. Never again! I do not fear failure, for in my life, failure is a myth. Failure only exists for the person who quits. I do not quit.

I am courageous. I am a leader. I seize this moment. I choose now. "

Recommend this Andy Andrews book to your library. Enjoy the historical interest -- and benefit from the other six key decisions to personal success.

Best to you and yours for a prosperous new year.

Best Life Now - Getting Started

Best way to start is to start.
When your life started -- it just started.
You had no plans or fears to fail -- you went for it.
When you fell down -- you got up and tried again.
There was no quitting just because you fell and bumped once, twice, ten times. It hurt a bit, but then you got over it and got back in the game.
How about now? is anything stopping you from getting started? Not me. I started. If it's anything -- it's you and your fears. Forget what you now know you know. Learn something new, do something new and different.
Past failure (or success) is no excuse for not getting up and starting again -- right now. Expectation of success is the only way to move forward. Focus on what you want... and what it takes. You have what it takes... use it.
Get a new life, get new and better results, get started.
Begin Your Best Life Now.
